In an effort to ensure a seamless execution of the Census-2027, the Haryana government has announced a freeze on transfers or postings of officials involved until March 31, 2027.
Issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, the directive affects a wide array of government personnel, including IAS and HCS officers, tehsildars, and various departmental officials like those from education and urban local bodies.
The administrative framework designates divisional commissioners as divisional census officers and a hierarchy that includes roles like principal, additional district, and sub-district census officers to manage the census operation effectively.
