A 70-year-old man died after an altercation with two intoxicated men in Salem district. The accused, alleged Bahujan Samaj Party cadres, were arrested after the incident, which occurred outside a tea stall. The confrontation turned fatal when the victim was struck by a cup thrown by the accused.

In a tragic incident in Salem district, a 70-year-old man died following an altercation with two intoxicated men. The confrontation occurred near a tea stall on April 21.
According to police, the two accused men, Prakash and Kabilan, were allegedly cadres of the Bahujan Samaj Party and had been consuming alcohol after campaigning.
The altercation turned deadly when a cup thrown by the accused struck the victim's head, leading to his unconsciousness and subsequent death. A murder case has been filed under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
