In a significant enforcement action, customs officials at Indira Gandhi International Airport have apprehended four Indian nationals over alleged drug smuggling activities, seizing narcotics worth about Rs 9 crore.
The passengers, who had arrived from Bangkok on April 21, were stopped after a profile-based intervention, resulting in the discovery of nine polythene packets of a green substance suspected to be marijuana.
This seizure not only highlights the stringent measures in place at one of India's busiest airports but also stands as a testament to the vigilance of customs authorities in curbing illegal drug trafficking.
