An alleged visa scam has come to light, where two individuals have reportedly defrauded a young man of Rs 20 lakhs with the promise of arranging a study visa for him.

Nishant Thakur, the victim, lodged a complaint against Abhishek Kumar Sharma and Munish Sharma, both residents of Bilaspur, accusing them of using his funds to purchase a vehicle instead.

The suspects allegedly forged documents to obtain a loan in Thakur's name, further compounding his financial troubles. Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation, with Bilaspur SP Sandeep Dhawal confirming the developments.
