The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called upon the Odisha chief secretary and the SP of Gajapati to submit a comprehensive report within two weeks regarding the recent deaths of two young female students.
This action follows media reports of a tragic incident where a gate collapsed at a government primary school in Rubudisingh village, Gajapati district, on April 15.
The NHRC's statement highlights that, if verified, the case presents grave human rights violations. The students, Beckylesh Raita (10) and Idanti Raita (9), are the identified victims of this unfortunate event.
