The India Meteorological Department has reported potential thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds up to 30-40 kmph in specific districts of Uttarakhand, such as Chamoli and Uttarkashi. Weather predictions include isolated thunderstorms or snowfall in high-altitude regions.
Conversely, the plains are expected to remain dry yet significantly warmer than average as temperatures continue to climb. The Meteorological Centre in Dehradun has observed soaring temperatures over the past 24 hours, with figures set to remain stable for the next few days.
In Dehradun, residents are experiencing clear to partly cloudy skies, with temperatures peaking at 38 degrees Celsius. Despite dry conditions in the capital, moderate to light rainfall was recorded in Ukhimath and Thal today.
