In Odisha, hot weather conditions have made a comeback, with 11 areas in the state experiencing temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. The India Meteorological Department has forecasted a two to three-degree increase in daytime temperatures over the next few days.

Boudh town in western Odisha stood out as the state's hottest location, recording a temperature of 42.9 degrees Celsius. Angul and Sonepur towns followed closely with temperatures of 42.1 degrees Celsius each. Other towns like Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Hirakud, and Talcher experienced temperatures around 41 degrees Celsius.

A day temperature of 40.4 degrees was noted in Nayagarh, 40.2 degrees in Bolangir, and a solid 40 degrees in Khurda and Titlagarh. Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar and neighboring Cuttack were slightly cooler at 37.4 and 37.6 degrees Celsius, respectively. A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Gajapati, and Ganjam districts on Monday, bringing some hope of respite.
