In a developing scandal, four employees at the TCS Nashik unit have been arrested for allegedly forcing a colleague to participate in religious activities against his beliefs, leading to claims of sexual harassment, coercion, and religious discrimination.
The accused reportedly compelled the senior analyst to wear a Muslim cap, perform Namaz, and endure insults to his religious faith. They further attempted to coerce him into consuming non-vegetarian food as part of a conversion effort, police reported during court proceedings.
A Special Investigation Team is actively probing numerous complaints of harassment and exploitation at the firm. TCS has taken immediate action by suspending the accused employees, affirming its zero-tolerance policy while noting a lack of formal complaints via official channels.
