In a significant breakthrough, Kanpur police, alongside the Special Investigation Team (SIT), have unearthed a sprawling fake degree racket that operated across numerous states, distributing counterfeit marksheets and degrees. This network was allegedly masterminded by Manish alias Ravi and Arjun Yadav, who were apprehended during the decisive operation.
The accused were reportedly running a sophisticated 'home delivery' service for educational documents, allegedly shaping credentials for thousands by supplying counterfeit certificates ranging from high school to PhD degrees. Raids revealed extensive evidence, including fake documents, university seals, and digital records, affirming the racket's vast reach.
Investigations have uncovered a web of financial transactions, with scrutiny underway on amounts linked to the fraudulent activities. Photos linking Manish to Bollywood personalities are being examined for potential exploitation in client attraction. Expansion of the probe is imminent, with more arrests anticipated.
