YSRCP MLC Ananta Satya Uday Bhaskar was taken into custody outside a district court on Friday for allegedly influencing witnesses in the infamous 2022 murder case of his driver, V Subrahmanyam, an official revealed.
The case revolves around Bhaskar's suspected involvement in Subrahmanyam's death caused during a confrontation over a debt. Bhaskar allegedly attacked the driver, who succumbed to head injuries after falling onto an iron grill.
Police state Bhaskar later attempted to manipulate witness testimonies by offering financial inducements and intimidating them. The arrest was made when Bhaskar appeared in court for related hearings.
