In a disturbing incident in Chitrakoot district, Uttar Pradesh, two teenage girls reportedly attempted suicide after being clandestinely filmed while bathing in the Yamuna river, according to police sources.
The situation unfolded when the girls, aged 16 and 17, consumed poison following familial reprimands over the unauthorized filming. They were transported to Rani Durgavati Medical College for advanced treatment after initial admission at a local community health center.
The local Superintendent of Police confirmed that three dedicated teams are actively probing the case: one focusing on the girls' medical care, another liaising with family members, and the third persistently seeking the individuals responsible for the filming.
