Tragic Family Incident: Son Surrenders After Alleged Crime

In a tragic incident near Peravoor, a 30-year-old man named Christy allegedly killed his mother, Geethamma, at their residence and later surrendered to the police. Officials disclosed that the incident took place on Friday night when Geethamma was alone at home.

Police reports state that Christy attacked Geethamma with a knife, fatally wounding her in the neck. The assault reportedly stemmed from hearing derogatory remarks made by locals about his mother. Geethamma, an active BJP Mahila Morcha worker, managed a beauty parlour in the area.

Following the attack, Christy informed a friend and went to the Kelakom police station on a motorcycle to report the incident. Despite being transported to the hospital, Geethamma was declared dead. Meanwhile, relatives expressed concerns over Christy's possible drug abuse, prompting further investigations by the police.
