The Crime Branch in Bhopal cracked a significant robbery case involving an IAS coaching institute director. Six individuals were apprehended for allegedly robbing Rs 1.89 crore after detaining her for two days.
The director, Shubhra Ranjan, was lured to Bhopal under the guise of opening a new center. She was held captive at a rented house, where the assailants armed themselves and coerced her into transferring the massive sum into various bank accounts.
The mastermind, identified as Priyank Sharma, a former student, was detained alongside his accomplices. Efforts are underway to retrieve the stolen amount, with technical evidence playing a pivotal role in the arrests. The operation, led by Commissioner Sanjay Kumar, successfully recovered the pistol used in the crime.
