In a distressing incident, authorities in Dombivli town in Maharashtra's Thane district have successfully rescued three young children found abandoned by the roadside.
The trio, comprising a boy and two girls aged between 3 and 4 years, were discovered by a bungalow in Dombivli West on Monday morning. Upon receiving the report, police swiftly launched a search operation throughout the locality but were unable to locate the children's family.
After nearly four hours of thorough investigation, the children were placed in the care of a local child care center, as confirmed by Senior Inspector Ram Chopde. An investigation is currently underway to ascertain whether the children had been kidnapped and to establish their familial connections.
