In a decisive move, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah spearheaded efforts to fast-track the 2026-27 Budget's implementation. At a high-level meeting in the civil secretariat, Abdullah emphasized the importance of timely and efficient delivery of welfare measures across the Union Territory.
Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Shailendra Kumar, briefed the chief minister on the current status of various Budget initiatives. Abdullah was apprised by administrative secretaries of the progress made so far in adhering to the outlined proposals.
