In a bizarre incident that shocked the Hapur community, a teenager's cremation was disrupted by a macabre act captured on CCTV. On Tuesday, police reported that three men were seen removing a skull fragment from a burning pyre.
The primary suspect, identified as Aman, allegedly committed this act under the influence of a tantrik or occultist, in hopes of winning over a woman he was infatuated with. The incident unfolded in the Hapur Dehat police station area after funeral rites for a 16-year-old named Shubhanshu, who had battled a prolonged illness.
Law enforcement, led by Station House Officer Neeraj Kumar, swiftly identified and arrested Aman after reviewing CCTV footage. Aman admitted his intentions during questioning, stating that he removed the skull fragment on advice from a local tantrik, identified as Avdhesh Sharma. The investigation remains ongoing as police probe deeper into the involvement of the occultist in this unsettling case.
