Kolkata Police Commissioner, Ajay Kumar Nand, addressed the media on Wednesday, underlining that stringent measures have been implemented to uphold law and order in the wake of the West Bengal assembly elections.
Highlighting a crackdown on lawbreakers, Nand revealed 80 arrests, with 65 apprehended for specific cases, while 15 were preventive detentions.
To deter disruptions, the commissioner issued a prohibition on bulldozer rallies and stated that collaborations with CAPF will continue to safeguard peace in Kolkata.
