According to the police, the deceased were identified as Manisha, 28, and her daughters Naviya, 8 and Pallavi, 5. Sendra SHO Hariram Jat said the fire broke out when Manisha went to the kitchen to prepare tea. As she switched on the gas, flames suddenly erupted due to leakage from the cylinder. The blaze spread rapidly and engulfed the entire kitchen, leaving the woman and her daughters with no time to escape, he said. Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to a mortuary. Locals attempted to douse the fire before a fire brigade brought the blaze under control, police said, adding that further investigation is underway.
