A 27-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly duping over 30 people on the pretext of providing jobs at Jaipur airport, police said on Sunday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Ranjita Sharma said the accused, Kiran Saini, a native of Pilani in Jhunjhunu district and currently residing in Jagatpura, was apprehended by a team from the airport police station on Saturday. The officer said the accused had earlier worked with a private airline service at Jaipur airport and used this background to lure job seekers by promising employment. She allegedly used artificial intelligence tools to edit identity cards of the ground handling company and prepared fake coloured ID cards, they said. The police recovered forged ID cards of four persons, Aadhaar cards and application forms of around 30 people from her possession, they added. During preliminary interrogation, it emerged that the accused had cheated over 30 people of around Rs 9-10 lakh on the promise of airport jobs, police said. The action was initiated following a complaint received on May 8 regarding fake job offers and forged entry passes at Jaipur airport. The accused has been produced in court and taken on remand. Police are probing the involvement of other persons in the network, officials added.
