The Jharkhand High Court has intensified its scrutiny over the baffling case of a missing girl, calling for the presence of the Gumla SP and his predecessors on June 9. Originating back in 2018, the disappearance of the six-year-old has challenged law enforcement as she remains untraced.
Initially filed in 2020 by the girl's mother, the case has seen multiple investigations but without success. Despite the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) dispatched to several cities across India, the police have failed to locate the child. The state counsel acknowledges the current lack of progress.
The court has expressed its dissatisfaction with the investigation's outcomes, questioning the adequacy of the procedures followed. As the search enters its sixth year, pressure mounts on authorities to resolve the long-standing mystery effectively.
