Describing the incident as 'extremely painful and saddening,' Vijayan highlighted the irreplaceable nature of such a loss. The group, consisting of seven young people, was at a popular viewpoint when the tragedy struck on Tuesday evening.
Vijayan extended wishes for a speedy recovery for those injured and emphasized the need for eligible compensation from the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. He urged public vigilance and adherence to safety guidelines amid natural disasters, stressing the seriousness of lightning warnings.
