The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad initiated statewide raids at more than 40 sites, including Mumbai, on Wednesday. These raids targeted individuals associated with Pakistan-based gangster Shahzad Bhatti, known for his alleged efforts to sway Indian youth toward anti-national activities via social media, officials reported.
At least 53 individuals were being interrogated across different locations like Mumbai, Pune, and Nagpur, following intelligence reports of their ties with Bhatti's gang. The ATS, equipped with specific leads, diligently traced and identified these individuals, marking a significant move in curbing potential national security threats.
