A tragic incident in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh resulted in the death of a 65-year-old woman following a dispute over grazing rights. The police reported that on Wednesday evening in Kaithi Kala village, an argument erupted when Satyendra Kumar began grazing his buffaloes on land belonging to Phoolvanti Devi.
The situation escalated when Bhagwati Devi, the landowner's mother-in-law, along with her husband Shambhu Rajbhar, protested. Satyendra Kumar allegedly responded with verbal insults and physical assault, targeting the couple and their family.
The violent encounter left Bhagwati Devi with fatal injuries, while others, including her son Suraj, suffered wounds. Authorities have initiated legal proceedings based on a complaint by Phoolvanti, and the case is being investigated under applicable laws.
