Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Warns Pakistan-based Gangster on Narcotics Menace

The Jammu and Kashmir Police chief, Nalin Prabhat, issued a stark warning to Pakistan-based gangster Shahzad Bhatti, who is accused of facilitating narcotics inflow into India. Prabhat stated that Bhatti and his associates would be relentlessly pursued and their criminal operations dismantled.

During a press conference, Prabhat underscored the vigilant measures Jammu and Kashmir Police have undertaken to combat narco-terrorism, in parallel with tackling terrorism. The 'Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan' has led to significant strides in drug seizures and arrests, highlighting the state's robust deterrent strategies.

Achievements include a seven-fold rise in NDPS cases, major arrests, and substantial property seizures tied to narcotics revenue. Furthermore, extensive public awareness initiatives and stringent actions against pharmaceutical offenders have marked the region's intensive campaign against the narcotics threat.
