In the aftermath of a tragic explosion at a firecracker factory in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district that claimed five lives, authorities have taken swift action to prevent further mishaps. Neighboring Indore has sealed three firecracker units following safety standard inspections.
The explosion, which resulted in 23 additional injuries, occurred in Dewas's Tonk Kalan area. In response, officials in Indore conducted thorough inspections of firecracker warehouses and factories, citing the Dewas incident and prevailing intense heat as factors requiring urgent attention.
Additional District Magistrate Roshan Rai reported deficiencies were found at a firecracker factory in Khajuria village. Meanwhile, units in Rajdhara village were also sealed after similar observations, with further surprise checks in Dhaturia and Panchderiya ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
