Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, emphasized the need to expunge names of illegal Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from the country's voter list. He urged political parties to collaborate with the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process.
Reddy criticized the Congress party, specifically Rahul Gandhi, for opposing the removal of non-citizens from electoral rolls, highlighting their perceived discomfort with the operation. He reassured that BJP agents would fully support EC efforts to cleanse voter lists.
Addressing additional controversy, Reddy responded to Telangana's Chief Minister's criticism of fuel price hikes, attributing the increases to geopolitical crises beyond Central government control.
