New Leadership at UIDAI: Saurabh Vijay Appointed as CEO
Saurabh Vijay, a 1998 batch IAS officer from Maharashtra, has been appointed as the CEO of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). Previously Principal Secretary in Maharashtra's Finance Department, Vijay has also held key roles at the President's Secretariat and World Bank. His appointment follows Bhuvnesh Kumar's elevation.
Saurabh Vijay has officially taken charge as the Chief Executive Officer of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), according to an official statement released on Monday.
Saurabh, an IAS officer from the 1998 batch of the Maharashtra cadre, previously served as Principal Secretary (Expenditure) in the Maharashtra government's Finance Department.
Vijay's appointment, coming after former CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar's elevation to Secretary of the Department of Tourism, highlights his extensive experience, including roles at the President's Secretariat and World Bank.
