In a dramatic series of police operations across Uttar Pradesh's Badaun and Sultanpur districts, nine individuals were apprehended amid intense gunfire exchanges. Authorities reported that five of the accused sustained injuries, alongside a constable, during these encounters.
Police categorically linked the detained individuals in Badaun to a Rs 19 lakh dacoity at a farmer's house, which occurred in the Islamnagar area. Arrests were made late Monday on Chandausi Road, with officials recovering looted jewellery, three country-made pistols, and cartridges.
Similarly, an operation in Sultanpur district led to the arrest of an alleged robbery gang, tied to incidents in the Akhandnagar area. The police recovered two motorcycles, firearms, and cartridges. All injured individuals have been hospitalized, as the investigation proceeds.
