Family of Missing CRPF Constable Demands CBI Probe

The family of a missing Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) constable is urging authorities to initiate a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into his case. Constable Badal Murmu disappeared over three years ago while on duty in the Saranda forest, sparking fears of Maoist involvement.

Murmu's wife, Jhano, expressed frustration over the government's silence and lack of progress in the investigation, despite her appeals to high-ranking officials. The family currently survives on a modest welfare pension, which she claims is inadequate for supporting their son's education.

The police acknowledge ongoing investigations, but the family remains skeptical, with Murmu's brother alleging that the CRPF prematurely deemed him a deserter and neglected the gravity of the situation.
