Gold Heist Uncovered: Nine Employees Arrested in Daring Theft

In a dramatic turn of events, nine employees of a private gold company have been arrested for allegedly orchestrating a gold heist. The incident came to light when the company owner lodged a complaint at the Halasuru Gate Police Station on May 12, reporting the theft of gold bars and ornaments.
Investigations revealed that the nine workers, who had been employed for the past six months, allegedly stole the gold on May 11 and fled. Acting swiftly on credible intelligence, police tracked the suspects to a train journeying from Bengaluru to West Bengal and apprehended them near a railway station in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, along with the stolen goods.
Under interrogation, the accused confessed to the theft, citing delayed salary payments as their motivation. The police have recovered 618 grams of gold, valued at Rs 89 lakh, and the suspects have been remanded to judicial custody.
