Gurugram Police Officer Accused of Assault Over Viral Video of Truck Fire

In Gurugram, a traffic officer is accused of slapping Vishal, a young man, who was filming a truck fire. The incident, caught on video, has gained traction on social media, prompting an official investigation.

Vishal was reportedly stopped by the officer while capturing the fire with his phone. Allegedly, the officer not only demanded him to halt the recording but also instructed him to get water to help extinguish the flames. After filming the entire scenario, Vishal uploaded the footage to social media, seeking accountability.

In response, the traffic officer disputed the assault allegation, claiming he merely requested Vishal's assistance. Supporting evidence of the officer actively engaging to control the fire has also surfaced online. Authorities, including ACP Traffic Satpal Singh, are currently reviewing the incident to ensure police adhere to 'friendly' behavior standards.
