YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has openly criticized the Andhra Pradesh government for its alleged neglect in the investigation of the Sugali Preeti case. He accuses Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of failing to provide justice for Preeti's family during his tenure.

The case of Preeti, who died under controversial circumstances in the previous TDP regime, remains unresolved. Her family maintains that she was a victim of sexual assault and murder, while school authorities claimed it was a suicide. Despite the investigation being transferred to the CBI during the earlier YSRCP administration, Jagan asserts justice remains unfulfilled.

Jagan emphasized that after YSRCP assumed power, his government advanced the inquiry through a Special Investigation Team, fulfilling the parents' requests and supporting them with housing and land. He accused Naidu's current administration of derailing the case once again and disregarding evidence, while promising unwavering YSRCP support to the family.
