College Teacher Caught Accepting Bribe for Assistant Professor Posting
A government college assistant professor in Khargone district was caught by Lokayukta police for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 to influence an assistant professor's posting. An investigation is ongoing following a complaint from Manoj Vaskel.

An assistant professor at Government College in Mandleshwar, Atmaram Solanki, is under investigation after being caught allegedly accepting a Rs 50,000 bribe. The incident was reported by the Lokayukta police and involved securing the assignment of a female assistant professor.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sunil Talan stated that the complaint was filed by Manoj Vaskel from Indore district. The malfeasance allegedly occurred at a local eatery. Solanki had purportedly asked for Rs 4 lakh in total as a bribe, having earlier collected Rs 1 lakh, claiming he could ensure Vaskel's wife, Urmila, a position in Dhar.
The investigation continues, and an FIR has been filed under the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act. Solanki has not been apprehended yet, but further analysis into the case is being conducted.
