Supreme Court Collegium Proposes Appointment of New Judges

The Supreme Court collegium has put forward the names of four chief justices from different high courts and senior advocate V Mohana to join the ranks of apex court judges. This significant proposal was made during meetings led by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant.

The meeting convened on May 22 and May 27 culminated in the recommendation to elevate Sheel Nagu from Punjab and Haryana High Court, Shree Chandrashekhar from the Bombay High Court, Sanjeev Sachdeva from the Madhya Pradesh High Court, and Arun Palli from the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court along with advocate Mohana to the Supreme Court.
