A 16-year-old has been detained after allegedly shooting a 17-year-old at a restaurant in Delhi's Amar Colony. The incident occurred after the victim confronted the accused for reportedly staring at his female companion.

Suffering a head injury, the victim is currently in critical condition at AIIMS Trauma Centre. The local community initially assisted in transporting him to Moolchand Hospital. The altercation, which began as a verbal dispute inside the eatery, escalated when one of the accused retrieved a weapon from a vehicle, police explained.

The apprehended minor, claimed to have been involved in a previous incident in the same area, is under investigation for potential past crimes. Authorities are examining ties to a school altercation involving the victim. Efforts to find two other suspects continue, with police reviewing CCTV and social media footage for leads.
