Inspection Reveals High Levels of Road Dust and Waste in Ghaziabad

A recent inspection conducted by the Commission for Air Quality Management in Ghaziabad identified numerous instances of significant road dust and accumulated construction waste. The inspection, which involved 10 flying squads, focused on evaluating road dust levels and the efficiency of cleaning operations.

Officials observed deficiencies in the current practices related to street sweeping and the handling of construction debris. In response, the commission has called for heightened dust control measures, including mechanized street cleaning and prompt waste disposal.

Highlighting the detrimental impact of road dust on urban air quality, the commission emphasized the urgent need for targeted mitigation strategies. Authorities have been urged to maintain continuous monitoring and enforce effective dust suppression measures.
