Authorities are probing a burglary in the Model Town neighborhood where thieves made off with Rs 2.5 lakh in cash and a significant amount of gold jewellery, according to officials on Wednesday.
Police received the report of the break-in at the Model Town station in northwest Delhi shortly before 5 p.m. on May 26. The homeowner reported that unknown individuals broke the lock on the inner entrance gate and took cash and jewellery. Law enforcement teams are actively investigating, reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
