An investigation is underway in Noida after a 15-year-old boy was allegedly murdered by three individuals who reportedly held a grudge against him. The police revealed that the tensions arose after the boy's grandmother rebuked the accused for exposing the teenager to hookah and other harmful habits.
The incident unfolded in Jewar, where the boy's body was discovered in a deserted house in Rohi village. Authorities found him a day after he was reported missing by his family. The suspects, identified as Naresh, Mohit, and Umesh Kumar, have been apprehended. Two were reportedly injured during a police encounter.
According to the police, the tragic sequence began when the boy visited the accused on May 21. Allegedly, they coerced him into smoking a hookah with tobacco, which proved fatal. Subsequently, his body was left in an abandoned house. Police recovered illegal firearms and a motorbike used by the suspects during the arrest.
The police have sent the boy's viscera for chemical analysis to confirm the exact cause of death, as initial reports showed no external injuries. The case brings attention to the dangers of introducing minors to illicit substances and the severe consequences that can follow.
