The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) escalated its inquiry into Twisha Sharma's death by arriving at the Bhopal residence of former district judge Giribala Singh. The CBI's visit comes soon after the Madhya Pradesh High Court nullified Singh's anticipatory bail related to the case involving her daughter-in-law's death.

Authorities from the CBI were seen entering Singh's residence in Bag Mughaliya extension, where they conducted questioning as part of their investigation. Singh and her son, Samarth Singh, face allegations tied to dowry harassment. The case, initially under state police jurisdiction, was taken over by the CBI earlier in the week.

The High Court, responding to petitions challenging Singh's bail, noted potential interference with the investigation by Singh. Accusations include the destruction of evidence and manipulation of CCTV footage. These developments have intensified scrutiny on Singh and her son, who remains in custody.
