Man Detained for Fatally Assaulting Wife's Companion in Mumbai

An individual has been taken into custody in Mumbai for allegedly murdering his wife's male companion. This incident unfolded near Reay Road railway station, according to police on Thursday.
The detained man reportedly attacked 27-year-old Ansar Rasul Shaikh, delivering punches and kicks before lifting and throwing him to the ground. When Shaikh lost consciousness, the accused used a large stone to deliver a fatal blow to his head. Police indicated that the attack was driven by the accused's resentment towards Shaikh, who had been living with his estranged wife.
Following the assault, the accused's wife reported the crime to the Wadala police station. He now faces charges under section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and investigations are ongoing.
