Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district have intensified their offensive against suspected terrorist locations, marking the sixth day of Operation Sheruwali. Using a combination of firepower and multiple grenade launchers, they targeted suspected hideouts with reports suggesting that two to three Pakistani terrorists, including a commander, are hiding in the dense forests.
The renewed assault followed a visit by Northern Army Commander Pratik Sharma, who reviewed the anti-terror efforts. Security forces launched attacks in the Dorimal-Gambhir Moghla region to flush out the terrorists, suspected to have left recent blood stains during their escape. Military teams, supported by helicopters and drones, continue to scour the area, reinforcing strategic positions to trap the militants.
Authorities have strengthened the cordon with additional troops and intensified vehicle checks on roads surrounding the operation zone. Joint teams from the Army, police, and paramilitary forces are conducting exhaustive searches to eliminate threats in the rugged terrain.
