Intense Heat Sweeps Across Punjab and Haryana

The states of Punjab and Haryana experienced scorching weather conditions on Thursday, with temperatures skyrocketing particularly in Sirsa and Faridkot. Both locations reached a sweltering 45.4 degrees Celsius, as per the Meteorological Department's report.
Apart from Sirsa, several other cities in Haryana, including Hisar, Bhiwani, and Rohtak, dealt with oppressive heat, recording temperatures of 44.2, 40, and 43.3 degrees Celsius, respectively. Ambala and Narnaul weren't spared either, with highs of 40 and 40.5 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, in Punjab, cities such as Patiala, Ludhiana, and Amritsar also suffered under the blazing sun, registering maximum temperatures between 40.8 and 41.5 degrees Celsius. Chandigarh, serving both states as their capital, reported a high of 40 degrees Celsius.
