The Supreme Court has demanded stricter accountability in the wake of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) paper leak, underscoring the need for reform within the National Testing Agency (NTA). The government, led by Narendra Modi, is actively addressing this issue to protect students' interests.
The court, hearing petitions that call for a complete overhaul of the NTA, insisted on concrete changes to prevent further breaches. In response, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta assured the bench that new procedures have been instated for the retest scheduled for June 21, with high-level scrutiny from the Prime Minister.
The situation has drawn significant attention following the alleged paper leak and the court's refusal to cancel the exams. The investigation by the CBI continues, while the Supreme Court monitors developments to ensure that accountability and transparency are upheld in future examinations.
