Eight Students Detained in Investigation of Fatal School Fire in Kenya

Authorities in Kenya have taken eight female students into custody on suspicion of arson after a deadly fire razed a dormitory at Utumishi Girls School, resulting in the deaths of 16 students and injuries to many others. The motive for the attack is still being investigated.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations questioned 30 students about the incident that also left 79 others hurt.
