The Tamil Nadu government has executed an extensive reshuffle within its administrative ranks, reassigning a number of senior IAS officers and district collectors across the state. This move is a part of the state's effort to streamline and enhance governance efficiency.

E Sundaravalli, previously serving as the Commissioner of Collegiate Education, has been appointed as the Special Secretary in the Public and Rehabilitation Department. This position was previously held by K Balasubramaniam. P Ponniah has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Collegiate Education, succeeding Sundaravalli.

In another notable shift, R Lalitha, previously the Managing Director of New Tiruppur Area Development Corporation Limited, has taken over the role of Secretary (Expenditure) in the Finance Department. The current Secretary, Prashant M Wadnere, has already been reassigned. Additionally, T G Vinay, who served as Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation, has been designated as the Commissioner of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.

Moreover, the state has transferred collectors from several districts including Tenkasi, Kallakurichi, Kanniyakumari, Thanjavur, and others, marking a comprehensive restructuring of local administrative offices.
