Sikh Pilgrim Dies in Tragic Fall en Route to Champawat Fair
A Sikh pilgrim on his way to the Jod Mela at Reetha Sahib Gurdwara in Champawat, Uttarakhand, died after a fall into a gorge. The incident occurred near an open gym on Banlekh-Laluwapani road. Lakhwinder Singh, aged 32, lost his balance and fell 100 metres.

A Sikh devotee lost his life after falling into a gorge while on his way to participate in the Jod Mela at the Reetha Sahib Gurdwara in Uttarakhand's Champawat district. This unfortunate incident happened on Saturday evening, according to local police.
Lakhwinder Singh, aged 32 and hailing from Nanakmatta in Udham Singh Nagar district, was travelling with friends when he decided to rest on a parapet alongside the road. It was then that he reportedly lost his balance, plummeting 100 metres down. Authorities confirmed that Singh died instantly. Recovery efforts were swiftly carried out, and family members have been notified.
