Trio Arrested in Thane with Mephedrone and Firearms
Three individuals were arrested in Thane for possessing 500 grams of mephedrone, along with firearms and ammunition. Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the suspects and seized the drugs. A case has been filed under multiple laws, and the suspects remain in custody until June 2.

Authorities in Thane have detained three suspects after confiscating 500 grams of mephedrone crystal powder, valued at Rs 70 lakh in illegal markets. The seizure also included a country-made gun and nine live cartridges, as reported by Thane Police.
The arrests were made following a tip-off received on May 27 regarding a drug transaction near Old Kharegaon toll naka in Mumbra. Officers from the crime branch unit-1 intercepted two scooters involved in the operation. Rehman Abdul Khan, Siddhant Sanjay Tamboli, and Sahil Nasim Khan were found with the drugs and have been charged under various sections of the NDPS Act, the Arms Act, and the Maharashtra Police Act. Until June 2, the suspects will remain in police custody.
