Shalimar Bagh to Host New 1,000-Seat Auditorium and Community Hub

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has partnered with NBCC (India) Ltd to establish a state-of-the-art 1,000-seat auditorium and community centre in Shalimar Bagh. This initiative is set to significantly enhance cultural and civic engagement in the area.
According to officials, the facility will be financed through the Chief Minister Development Fund. It will feature a large auditorium and two conference halls, each with a capacity of around 100 people. The centre aims to provide a venue for various public events, cultural activities, and seminars.
The project seeks to create a versatile space accessible to educational institutions, cultural groups, and government departments. The new centre promises to become a vital social and cultural hub for Shalimar Bagh residents and those in surrounding areas.
The agreement was formalized in a meeting attended by MCD Commissioner Sanjeev Khirwar and NBCC Chairman and Managing Director KP Mahadevaswamy.
