Sukhbir Singh Badal, leader of the Shiromani Akali Dal, has lambasted the recent attack on a gurdwara in Poonch by Pakistani forces. The cross-border shelling led to the tragic deaths of three Sikhs, causing widespread shock and condemnation among political leaders and the public.
The Pakistani Army carried out heavy artillery and mortar shelling on villages along the LoC, resulting in 12 deaths and 57 injuries. The attack occurred after Indian forces targeted terror sites in Pakistan to retaliate for an earlier assault in Pahalgam.
Shiromani Akali Dal stands firm with the families of the deceased and calls for honoring the martyrs. Political figures, including Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, voiced their disdain for the attack and solidarity with the victims.
