Assam Panchayat Polls See Impressive Turnout
The second phase of the panchayat polls in Assam saw a strong voter turnout of 79.23%. Held across 13 districts, the highest participation was in Dhubri at 88.63%, while Kamrup (Metro) saw the lowest at 71%. A total of 91,31,127 people were eligible, with the elections deciding the fate of 29,608 candidates.
